SPOKANE, Wash. -

An appeals court ruled Tuesday that Daiquiri Factory owner Jamie Pendleton was no given proper notice about delinquent rent before being evicted from its downtown location last year.

The bar closed after the owner of the Crescent Building evicted Pendleton for nonpayment of rent. In an email cited by The Spokesman Review, Pendleton says he hopes to reopen The Daiquiri Factory at a downtown location soon. The Daiquiri Factory was at the center of protests in 2014 for naming one of its drink "Date Grape Koolaid."
