SPOKANE, Wash. -

The folks at the Greenhouse Community Center food pantry in Deer Park have had office supplies stolen, even cars, but never food.

But this week, someone broke in, destroyed their door, and vandalized their warehouse.

A big bin of Halloween candy, meat, chicken, and beef was all stolen.

"The good stuff," said Executive Director Susan Peterson.

Susan and her volunteers won't let this greedy thief hold them back.

"We help people make ends meet every month," she said. "We're not going to stop."

But they want whoever did this to know, they're 'disappointed and disgusted."

"Somebody was being piggy and decided they didn't get their fair share," said Susan. "Our mission is to give food away, and these people are trying to ruin this mission."

If you know anything about this crime, you can call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

The Greenhouse Community Center food pantry accepts donations at 211 N. Fir in Deer Park.
