SPOKANE, Wash. -

Update: Rokerthon in Spokane was a success Sunday morning. Hundreds of people showed up before sunrise at Riverfront Park to cheer on Al Roker live on the Today Show as he goes for his second world record. Were you in the crowd?

After Spokane, Al made a quick stop in Coeur d'Alene before moving on to Montana and points beyond in his 50-state quest.

Good luck with the rest of your trip Al, the Lilac City loved having you!

Update: The City of Spokane reports community members are invited to be a part of the Today Show's Rokerthon broadcast Sunday morning. If you're interested in being part of Al's world record attempt should be at the intersection of Post Street and Bridge Avenue at 5 a.m. Sunday (see map).

Rokerthon supports Feeding America, an organization devoted to feeding those in need throughout the nation.

Previous coverage:

The world-record-setting Today Show weather man Al Roker has embarked on Rokerthon 2. Roker hopes to set the world record for the fastest time ever reporting the weather in all 50 states. He'll be traveling across the country in just one week, and Sunday he will broadcast the weather from Spokane.

We've just learned that Al will be in Riverfront Park Sunday morning. Word is, he will be set up near the falls. We anticipate the time to be from 5 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. We will keep you posted on Facebook and Twitter as we get more info.

Also, Al will be in the KHQ studio Saturday to do weather with KHQ's Leslie Lowe, so be sure to tune in right after the Zags game!

Rokerthon 2 is of course the sequel to the original Rokerthon, when Al set the world record for longest continuous weather forecast. He went 34 hours straight and set the world record in style. With the success of Rokerthon, it was only a matter of time before there was a sequel.

Be sure to follow Al on Twitter to see more posts from his cross-country journey. He's making his way to Spokane from Alaska.
