Summit County Medical Examiner Dr. Lisa Kohler says authorities haven't confirmed how many people were on the 10-seat Hawker H25 jet when it crashed in Akron and exploded Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say there may be more than two people dead.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Bill Haymaker says the plane took off from Dayton and planned to land at Akron Fulton International Airport.

Inspectors from the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are due at the scene.

Witnesses say they heard explosions when the plane hit. Carrie Willis lives several blocks away and says she heard a big bang and her couch shook.
