Freebies and deals for veterans on Veterans Day

Veterans Day is Wednesday and we here at KHQ wanted to thank all veterans and active military for their service to our country. We aren't the only ones who want to honor veterans for their service and sacrifice. Restaurants across the country are offering veterans and active military freebies from a free meal to a free cup of coffee. Below is a list of a few places giving veterans free stuff for Veterans Day.

Applebee’s Enjoy a free Applebee’s Signature Entree on Veterans Day, November 11. Available during business hours in all U.S. Applebee’s restaurants. Veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service. Proof of service includes: U.S. Uniformed Services ID Card, U.S. Uniformed Services Retired ID Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans organization card (i.e. American Legion, LFW), photograph of yourself in uniform, wearing uniform, DD214 and citation or commendation.

Chili’s Veterans and active duty military enjoy a free entree on November 11.

Denny’s Veterans Day Appreciation Event, November 11. Participating restaurants are offering a Free Grand Slam breakfast.

Dutch Bros. Coffee On Veteran’s Day, Dutch Bros Spokane will offer all 16-oz. drinks for $1, including specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes and our private label energy drink, Dutch Bros Blue Rebel™. Proceeds from the day will benefit Operation Spokane Heroes. A local nonprofit organization that was founded in 2001 to support local enlisted and deployed soldiers and their families.

Einstein Bros Bagels and Noah’s New York Bagels Free Coffee for Veterans on November 11.

Golden Corral Military Appreciation Night – all veterans receive a free dinner.

Little Caesars Free $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo for Veterans Day.

Olive Garden On November 11, all Veterans and current service members get a free meal from a special menu. Family dining with them will receive 10% off their meal.

Outback Steakhouse Free Bloomin' Onion and beverage on Veterans Day November 11.

    KHQ.COM - The Canadian women's hockey team wept on the ice as they accepted their silver medals after losing to the Americans at the Pyeongchang Olympics.   One Canadian player, Jocelyne Larocque, took her medal off immediately and held it in her hands as the Americans stood nearby awaiting their gold Thursday.   Larocque says, "It's just so hard."
