JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The latest on a report of an armed man at Arkansas State University (all times local):
    
3:30 p.m.
    
Arkansas State University has lifted nearly all of a lockdown that shut down the school after an armed man drove his truck into the middle of campus.
    
The university says the lockdown has been lifted for all parts of the campus except for the east side of the student union. The school says the suspect is in police custody.
    
Jonesboro Police spokesman Paul Holmes says bomb squad technicians are en route to examine the truck.
    
The incident happened Thursday as students were taking final exams. Arkansas State says tests that were scheduled for Thursday night will be administered next week. Campus is closed for the rest of the day.

University spokesman Bill Smith says the man was taken into custody about an hour after the incident began. Earlier Thursday, the university was placed on lockdown after the man drove his truck onto the center of campus and displayed a weapon.
    
Smith says the campus remains on lockdown as authorities inspect the man's truck. No injuries have been reported.

Authorities in northeast Arkansas are sending a negotiator to speak with an armed man who drove onto the center of Arkansas State University's campus.
    
Jonesboro Police Department spokesman Paul Holmes says a negotiator is headed to campus to speak with the man. The university has been on lockdown since about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
    
Holmes says police are sending a tactical unit as well to respond to the situation. No shots have been fired and no injuries are reported.

Arkansas State University says there are no reports of injuries after an armed man drove onto campus and that officers have surrounded him.
    
University spokesman Bill Smith says the man displayed a weapon but no shots have been fired. The university issued an alert at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday telling students to stay away from the student union.
    
A Jonesboro Police Department spokesman says his agency is helping respond to the incident. Spokesman Paul Holmes says the man is in a pickup truck outside the student union.

Arkansas State University has sent a text message urging the evacuation of the student union after a report of a man with a gun on campus.
    
University spokesman Bill Smith says the university was placed on lockdown after the man drove onto campus. He says no shots were fired.
    
Smith says police surrounded the man but people were still urged to stay away from the student union.
    
The university is located in Jonesboro, about 130 miles northeast of Little Rock.

    POST FALLS, Idaho - The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says a 40-year-old Post Falls man is in critical condition after falling off his inner tube on the Spokane River Saturday evening.  Deputies responded to the Corbin Park area for a report of a possible drowning at around 6:00 p.m. Witnesses say the man had fallen off his inner tube and not resurfaced.

    MEDINA, Ohio (AP) - Police say a 6-month-old girl found unresponsive in a car at a park in Ohio and has died.    Medina police say the baby was found unresponsive shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday in a car at Ray Mellert Park in the city about 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of Cleveland. Medina police said that the girl was transported to a hospital, but efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
