SPOKANE, Wash. -

After being plowed in and not feeling well enough to dig himself out, Rodney Masingall got help from a good Samaritan and now his driveway is clear.

"I just didn't know how I was going to get it moved," says Masingall after he was left with a three and a half foot pile of snow in front of his driveway after city plows came through.

Lucky for them someone was looking out for Masingall and his wife, Joan.

"Out of the blue the neighbors showed up, took the snowblower out of the garage, and they removed the snow for us," says Masingall.

Pat O'Callaghan has been neighbors with the Masingalls for the past five years.  "They needed help," he said.  "They were plowed in."

So O'Callaghan shoveled and plowed until the driveway was accessible.

Masingall says he was especially grateful because he needed a prescription and wasn't sure if he'd have to go to the doctor.  O'Callaghan says it was the obvious decision.   "That's the nice thing about our neighborhood," said O'Callaghan.  "We take care of each other."

"It's something that's unexpected," says Masingall.  "I'm so appreciative of our good neighbors."
