CORINTH, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi officer helped make a special pre-holiday delivery in a parking lot for a pregnant woman who couldn't quite make it to the hospital.
Sgt. Ken Walker of Corinth came to the aid of Karla White about 4 a.m. Monday. WTVA-TV reports that White and her mother were on the way to the hospital and called 911. Dispatcher Ashleigh Hinds advised them to pull over and wait for an ambulance. They headed into a Kmart lot.
That's when Walker showed up and realized there was no time to wait. The officer then helped deliver the baby.
Hinds says "emotions just overflowed the dispatch center."
Walker says colleagues are giving him "atta boys" and calling him "baby doctor."
Henry Dalton Byrd was due Jan. 7. Mom says he's doing fine.

Catholic nuns and Malabon Zoo owner Manny Tangco sang Christmas carols beside an orangutan named "Pacquiao" during their "Animal Christmas Party" at the Malabon Zoo in suburban Malabon, north of Manila, Philippines on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015.
It's part of an annual tradition around Christmas time.

BUFORD, Ga. (AP) - One day after a bank robber demanded cash but also wished the teller a merry Christmas, police in suburban Atlanta say a suspect turned himself in to face charges.
Gwinnett County police said in a news release that the robber entered a BB&T bank in Buford on Monday and handed a teller a note demanding money. At the end of the note, he had written, "Merry Christmas." Police say he got away with a small amount of cash.
In an update, police said 30-year-old Joshua Henry Harbin of Sugar Hill heard a news report about the case on the radio Tuesday and asked a local resident to call police and tell them he was involved in the robbery.
They said Harbin was locked up and faces one count of robbery.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A dead yellow-bellied sea snake from southern Mexico has been discovered on Bolsa Chica beach, only the third one ever reported in California.
Natural History Museum snake curator Greg Pauly says it's only the seventh or eighth one ever seen north of Baja California's Magdalena Bay.
All the California sightings have come during El Nino years when oceans are warmer than usual. The last one washed ashore at Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard in October. One other was found in 1972 at San Clemente State Beach.
The Bolsa Chica find happened over the weekend during a cleanup effort.
Pauly tells the Orange County Register that one sea snake in a year is incredible, but two is mind-blowing.
The snakes are venomous but not dangerous to humans because they can't open their jaws very wide.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A Texas man has been charged with pretending to be a government inspector to get free cigarettes from a store and then lighting up outside.
Bexar County jail records show 30-year-old Chad William Fisher of Cypress was being held Monday on charges of criminal trespass and impersonation of a public servant.
Jail records don't list an attorney to speak for Fisher, whose bond was $16,500 following his weekend arrest.
KSAT-TV reports Fisher on Nov. 1 stopped at a San Antonio-area convenience store and posed as a Food and Drug Administration agent checking for counterfeit and fraud. An affidavit says a clerk gave Fisher several packs and he went outside and smoked some.
He returned later for more cigarettes, pretended to be with the CIA and allegedly tried to steal beer.

Authorities have arrested a man they say tried to rob his former employer with a toy water gun.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's officials said Jimmy Pierre, 35, went to the Outback Steakhouse where he used to work on Monday and held the water gun against the manager's head while ordering him to open a safe.
Authorities said the manager asked Pierre what he was doing, warning that fellow employees would easily be able to identify him.
Pierre, who was fired in October, said he was broke and needed money. According to an arrest report, the two struggled over the gun and Pierre allegedly dropped a computer monitor on the manager's head and tried to burn him with a hand torch.
The Sun Sentinel reports Pierre faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

A man in Alfreton, Derbyshire, England is certainly on the naughty list this year. Police say he dressed up like Santa Claus and climbed through the drive-through window at a KFC restaurant.
Officers say he robbed the employees with a 10-inch knife and got away with cash.
He was caught on surveillance video, and police are now trying to identify him.

A Port St. Lucie woman was arrested and charged with battery after authorities say she attacked her husband for repeatedly passing gas in bed.
According to a police report, Donald Meikle told police that his wife, Dawn, elbowed him and kicked him out of bed the morning of Friday, Dec. 11. Dawn told police her husband was repeatedly passing gas.
The fight escalated as the flatulence continued. Dawn Meikle reportedly ran to the bathroom to call 911 and also discharged a canister of pepper spray.
During the altercation, Dawn Meikle suffered a split lip while her husband suffered scratches on his chest.
She has since been released from jail.
Records did not indicate whether she had hired an attorney.

Six travelers in Wales made the best of their commute this week, and decided to throw a Christmas party on their train ride to work.
They hung paper chains, put down tablecloths, ate good food and drank prosecco.
The group says they spend about 40 minutes going to work together every morning, so they decided to brighten up that particular day and celebrate together.
They say the 8:08 a.m. ride from Abergavenny to Cardiff was far more exciting then usual. Sadly, they didn't continue the party on their ride home that night though, because they each take different trains home.

LOS ANGELES - In less than two weeks, you can watch The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis. Usually, ahead of the air date of these things, we'll get little teasers and snippets of what happened, but this one is a bombshell.  For years, the debate on whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie has raged on. If you ask me, I'm going to tell you that it's not only a Christmas movie, but the best Christmas movie ever.
