RITZVILLE, Wash. -

Washington State Patrol reports one person has been taken to the hospital after a crash Friday morning on Highway 395.

The wreck happened around 7 a.m. Friday at milepost 78. That's about 18 miles south of Ritzville in Adams County. Washington State Patrol reports a 2007 Dodge Dakota pickup truck driven by 54-year-old  Brent N. Arens, of Kennewick, was traveling northbound on Highway 395 when it began to slide on ice.

The pickup spun and entered the median, then rolled a came to rest on the passenger side.

Arens' passenger, identified as 50-year-old Judith M. Thompson, also of Kennewick, was injured in the crash. She was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Hospital staff say she is in stable condition Friday afternoon.

Washington State Patrol says Arens was traveling too fast for the conditions on the road.

Both Arens and Thompson were wearing seat belts.
