Pedestrian hit by SUV near Riverside and Browne

SPOKANE, Wash. -

One man is in the hospital after he was hit by an SUV while crossing the street Monday evening just after 6pm. Spokane Police tell us the man ran in front of the vehicle near Riverside and Browne in downtown Spokane. They also tell us the driver of the SUV is not at fault. 

Police have not yet said if the man hit by the SUV will be cited for causing the accident. We also don't know the extent of his injuries but according to witnesses, after getting hit he was conscious, breathing and complaining of leg pain. 

Riverside was closed for a few hours while police investigated the accident but opened back up shortly after.
