Lifelong NCAA fans in Spokane for March Madness

Posted: Updated:
SPOKANE, Wash. -

Abby Black and her husband are grabbing a bite to eat before they head to the arena. They aren't here to support anyone specific; they're here for the love of the game.

"We love March Madness," Abby Black said.

Basketball is in their blood.

"Nobody sees behind the scenes all the weight room hours, extra sprints, free throws…" Black says.

But she gets it. She and her husband were both basketball players and college athletes.

He's a Duke fan, she's cheering on Kansas, so whoever wins today will be their competition.

"So we might cheer for the underdogs today to give our teams a better chance," Black said.

They don't really care who wins though, because Black says the only predictable part of March Madness is how unpredictable is really is.

"Things can happen quickly things can change quickly, its fun to watch!"
