SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

Spokane Valley deputies say a man was beaten and stabbed by the man his wife was having an affair with Saturday night in the parking lot of Timber Creek Buffet.

Deputies say the victim learned his wife had a previous intimate relationship with 24-year-old Sidney Dashevsky and decided to confront him. The victim drove to the restaurant to wait for Dashevsky as his wife tried to calm him down. After waiting for an hour, Dashevsky came out of the restaurant and the victim confronted him.

Witnesses say Dashevsky began hitting the victim and continued to punch and kick him while he was on the ground. Dashevsky left the victim on the ground with injuries to his head and face, as well as a severe stab wound to his stomach. Responding deputies found Dashevsky as he was trying to leave and stopped him. Deputies saw blood on Dashevsky's steering wheel and on his hands. A knife was also located in the car.

The victim was taken to a hospital and he was last reported to be in serious condition.

Dashevsky was arrested for 1st degree assault.

Deputies are still looking for anyone who may have additional information on the incident. If you know anything, you're asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 and reference case #116020.
