As the search for accused killer Anthony Garver continued Friday, a report about the hospital he escaped from raises red flags.

In a 2013 study titled “Workplace Violence Prevention Programs Review,” the investigation uncovers hundreds of violent outbursts from patients.

According to the study, ESH reported nearly 300 incidents of patient-to-staff violence between 2010 and 2012. WSH reported nearly 1,000 during the same time period.

At both facilities, patient-patient violence was also cited as frequent.

The study also states there are not enough staff compared to the number of patients, making it difficult for employees to supervise patients.

Jonathan Rosen, who conducted the study, told KHQ that the problem stems from state budget cuts to mental health facilities.

This year, Washington lawmakers approved a budget to help boost the WSH nursing staff by 51.

What's the first thing you would do if you had a pet translator and you could understand your dog or cat? I'd probably immediately let my cat know how sorry I am for stepping on her tail all those times. Recent advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning suggest the dream of communicating with your pets could become a reality.
