SEATTLE -

A Seattle man who has ties to the FBI will not serve prison time for having an extensive cache of child pornography.

Seattlepi.com reports cybersecurity consultant Brian Haller was caught with 600 photos and videos showing the sexual exploitation of children as young as 9.

Haller pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in December and expressed remorse in court Friday.

Haller must register as a sex offender, cannot be alone with children and will be on probation for 10 years.

U.S. District Judge Robert Bryan left it to probation officers to decide whether Haller can continue to live across from an elementary school in the Ballard area of Seattle.

Prior to his arrest in an FBI sting last year, Haller led the Seattle chapter of an FBI-private sector group tasked with fighting computer crime and cyberterrorism.

HELENA, Mont. - The mystery is over: Montana wildlife officials confirm that an unusual-looking animal shot in central Montana was actually a wolf.    Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials initially weren't certain what the creature was when a rancher shot it near Denton in May. They noted the legs, front claws and canine teeth were shorter and its ears bigger than normally seen on wolves.
