KHQ.COM - A video has gone viral this week showing a woman, Kelly Murphy, getting chased by a bear while snowboarding at Japan's Hakuba 47 Resort.  She posted the video on YouTube saying, "I was going through my videos and I found a bear chasing me! I nearly got eaten!" Many are questioning the authenticity of the video though.

Some media outlets were quick to post the video with no questions asked like London's Sky News and the U.K.'s Daily Mail

The Daily Mail even tried to confirm the credibility of the video saying, "Asiatic bears are sometimes seen around the resort. Loudspeakers are even placed nearby in Haukuba village to warn people when they are spotted. ... Also the bears come out of hibernation in March, so are only likely to be seen in the spring skiing season in April and early May."

Those that were a bit more skeptical pointed out that the bear in the video looks nothing like an Asiatic bear but more like a Grizzly and Grizzlies do not live in that area.

Some also found it suspicious that Kelly Murphy's YouTube account was only recently created. Two other videos were uploaded just days before the bear chasing video was uploaded and what's strange is that Murphy is wearing the exact same outfit in all the videos. It's almost as if the people behind the video were like, "Oh! We better launch a YouTube channel with other videos so it doesn't look like this is the only video we've ever posted!"

Tim Canto wrote an article for SB Nation, listing five reasons he thinks the video is fake.

YouTube commenters were also quick to call "fake" ...

“I wish the fake bear had fake eaten her to stop that awful song,” one viewer said in reference to Murphy singing a Rhianna song.

“This is fake. The bear shows only up in such a way it’s very easy to edit it in, the sounds are very common bear sounds heard in many movies/games, I guess you can google it up easily and that’s why so many uses that specific bear growl. Shame on you Kelly for trying to make this seem real to the public,” another said.

What do you think? Real or Fake?

KHQ.COM - Most mothers can only hope by the time their children grow up and move out of the house, they've learned all the necessary things to be a successful adult, including the basic knowledge that a turkey must be cooked in an oven, or perhaps in a smoker... NOT in a microwave. For this reason a new prank-challenge going around on Facebook is resulting in some hilarious text conversations between mothers and their grown children.
