I used to think that dogs were the most loyal in the animal kingdom, but after hearing about this story, it might be bees. But as Jules Winnfield once said, "A dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way."

But trap me in a car and I can guarantee that my dog would not spend two days following me. She's a bloodhound and all, but I don't think I could count on her. However, a swarm of bees in West Wales did just that when their queen became trapped inside a Mitsubishi Outlander.

The 68-year-old woman who owns the car was unaware that she'd pick up the queen bee passenger when she visited a nature reserve. Her loyal army of followers were determined to get their queen out of her new metal fortress (or at least prepared to make it their new home). As the woman went shopping, thousands of bees descended on the car and set up shop.

A local park ranger noticed the swarm and decided to stop and help (or at least take pictures and document the attempt to get rid of the bees). Tom Moses said he called some people at a local beekeepers association, who showed up and gingerly nudged the bees into a box. There were lots of stings. According to Moses there was even a "drunk bloke from a pub" that swept a load of bees off the car with his hand. Again, lots of stings, but they got the bees in the box. Happy ending, right?

Well, the next morning, the owner of the car said the bees came back! So again, out came the beekeepers. Hours later, they moved the bees again. Moses says members of colonies often follow their queen if she moves hives and speculates the queen thought the shiny warm Mitsubishi might have seemed like a good option for a new home. Her followers apparently thought so too.

Bees sure are loyal, but my dog never stings me, so I'll stick with her.

SPOKANE, Wash. - From the outside, the Repeat Boutique looks like a lot of other thrift shops in Spokane.  Inside, some might describe the stuff for sale as old, used, discarded garbage -- but store manager CJ Curtis sees its potential. And just like the goods in her shop, CJ is on her way to a new life, one far from the one she once lived.
