Summer programs kick off at the Spokane County Library District. Get ready to have some fun at the library with this summer’s theme: Ready, Set, Read!

Summer is a great time for kids and families to continue learning together and keep boredom at bay. And the library is the perfect place to facilitate the fun. The library has numerous performers and programs scheduled – from puppeteers to ‘Cecil the Magician,’ from ‘Indiana Bones’ to Charlie Williams the ‘Sound Guy,’ who teaches kids how to make crazy sound effects with just their hands and mouths!

And summer at Spokane County Libraries isn’t just for kids. There are programs, crafts, stories, and workshops for everyone. In all there are 184 programs planned for this summer! And it’s all free and open to the public!

Hurricane Michael delivered quite a punch when it hit the Florida teenagers who make up the Mosley High Dolphins football team.    But just 10 days later, the Dolphins were ready to punch back. The local high school played against Pensacola on Saturday afternoon in downtown Panama City, providing a little normalcy after a storm that has forever altered their lives.
