History on display at Felts Field

SPOKANE, Wash. -

Felts Field Airport will be hosting the 6th Annual “Neighbor Day Open House” from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4. The event is free and open to the public.

This year, Neighbor Day will feature a B-25 Mitchell and P-51 Mustang from Everett’s Paine Field-based Historic Flight Foundation (HFF).

Close-up viewing of the P-51 and ground tours of the B-25 will be available at no charge. The B-25 will be available for rides for a fee of $395. For B-25 flight reservations, visit the HFF tent or call (425) 348-3200.

HFF will also bring noted aviation historian David Lednicer to present during Neighbor Day at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., "The History of Northwest Airlines," an airline with deep connections to Felts Field.

The presentations will be offered free of charge in the Honor Point Military & Aerospace Museum facility in Western Aviation’s flight center hangar complex.

In addition, antique, vintage, home-built “kit,” commercial and contemporary planes based at Felts Field will be on static display. And approximately 20 community organizations will have exhibits in the center hangar bay of Western Aviation’s new Flight Center.

Officers arrived and found 21-year-old Hilinski deceased in the apartment with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

    Police in Stark County, Ohio have sent a warning to other departments after the skin on a man's arms was eaten away, possibly by a new heroin combination.  WCMH-TV in Columbus reported that the man was possibly injured by heroin laced with Rizzy powder. The man's arms were blackened, and some of his skin was eaten away. "It's very, very disturbing," Alliance Police Sgt. Michael Yarian said.
