Bystander shot, killed after fight in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE, Wash. -

One person is dead following a shooting in Moses Lake overnight Saturday that police are calling a "senseless and tragic crime."

Moses Lake Police report that around midnight a fight broke out at a business in the 200 block of W. Broadway. Three people were involved in the fight, and afterward shots rang out. A person who wasn't involved in the fight at the business was shot and died as a result of their injuries.

Two people were arrested and are currently being held in the Grant County Jail. The names of those arrested and the name of the shooting victim have not yet been released.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. They ask anyone who may have witnessed what happened or may have additional information to call the Moses Lake Police Department or MACC dispatch at 509-762-1160.
