COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -

Almost exactly three months after the shooting in the Altar Church parking lot, Pastor Tim Remington is back, and preached for the first time since he was shot six times.

Members of the church were overwhelmed with emotion as they saw Pastor Tim walk in during Sunday service.

He told the congregation about the shooting and his long, difficult, and continuing, recovery process.

“I've healed 75 percent faster than the average person,” Remington says.

His sermon was also about helping those who need it.

“I'm not here to destroy the life of the person who shot me. I'm here to try to save his life,” he says.

He also thanked those in the crowd for their support.

“Other people came up to me and said ‘oh Pastor Tim, I want to share your pain.’ You know what let me tell you something, I don't want you to share my pain. You have enough pain of your own. If this is mine to bear, then I'll bear it. I'm okay,” he says.

And now, they’re looking at something of a miracle.

“God’s what saved me. Now you're witness of that miracle,” he told church-goers.

Remington is still recovering.

Kyle Odom is no longer facing attempted murder charges. He will now face an aggravated battery charge. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office says both charges carry the same maximum 15-year sentence.
