LEWISTON, Idaho -

Lewiston Police report a 24-year-old man was arrested overnight for stealing a pickup truck, breaking windows and ramming cars in three area car dealerships.

According to police, an officer saw a suspicious pickup driving through the parking lot of Rogers Motors located at 2203 16th Ave. just after midnight on June 6. When Sgt. Hopple with Lewiston Police entered the lot to investigate, he found several windows and doors of the business were severely damaged. Sgt. Hopple then saw the man, identified as Jacob Sells of Lewiston, walking away from the suspicious pickup. Sells was detained and additional officers arrived on the scene.

Further investigation found that Sells had originally broken into the main office of Valley Car Sales at 1801 Main Street just before midnight and grabbed a set of keys to a blue Dodge Ram recently purchased by the dealership. Sells also damaged a window of a Toyota pickup before leaving in the Ram. Sells reportedly left his jacket and ID at Valley Car Sales.

He drove the Ram to Mick McClure Honda at 2304 11th Ave. where he used it damage the building by driving into it. Windows and garage doors were severely damaged.

Then Sells drove the stolen pickup to Rogers Motors where he again used the pickup to ram garage doors and windows of the main building. He also struck a support pillar on the building and damaged three vehicles in the Rogers lot before police caught him.

Damage to all three dealerships is estimated to be several thousand dollars. Sells was arrested for burglary, two counts of felony malicious injury to property and grand theft. Additional charges are pending following the results of further investigation.

SPOKANE, Wash. - From the outside, the Repeat Boutique looks like a lot of other thrift shops in Spokane.  Inside, some might describe the stuff for sale as old, used, discarded garbage -- but store manager CJ Curtis sees its potential. And just like the goods in her shop, CJ is on her way to a new life, one far from the one she once lived.
