Man's truck stolen, destroyed on Father's Day

This is all that's left of Gary's truck. This is all that's left of Gary's truck.
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

It's the kind of story that just makes you ask yourself, what is the matter with people? A man's truck was stolen on Father's Day. Cut up pieces are all that's left.

"It was my baby," said Gary Borhauer. "My heart just sunk."

Because this ride wasn't just any set of wheels for Gary.

"There's nothing left at all," he said. "Nothing of value."

Gary bought it shortly after his mother died with money she left him.

"I loved that truck," he said. "It was the only thing I ever bought that was new. I miss it."

Thieves somehow hauled it away as it was parked in front of his Spokane Valley home. It was dumped in a north Spokane alley.

" I was hoping to be able to find it damaged or dropped off somewhere, not cut up in pieces," Gary said. "It had to be a professional job."

Gary fears if those responsible aren't caught, your family car could be next.
