BATON ROUGE, La. -

A Louisiana district attorney says he has no intention of charging a 30-year-old mother arrested for whipping her three boys after she found out they had burglarized a neighbor's house.

Schaquana Spears was arrested June 20 in Baton Rouge and charged with two counts of cruelty to juveniles - felony charges.

A sheriff's report said she allegedly whipped her 13- and 12-year-old boys so badly she left marks on their bodies. Lacerations on the 13-year-old's arms had bled.

But East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III says he does not intend to prosecute Spears.

He told The Advocate on Friday that it would "take something significant" to change his mind.

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - It's been nearly two years since anyone has seen or heard from Paul Brazeau. He was last seen at his son's wedding. His brokenhearted family reached out to KHQ's Hayley Guenthner with a letter asking for his case to be featured in our Q6 Cold Case series. The day Paul vanished started out so wonderful. "It was a happy day," said Paul's aunt Georgine Glatt.
