The Spokane County Sheriff's Office has confirmed with KHQ's Hayley Guenthner that the suspect who was shot during a Spokane Valley bank robbery last week has been arrested.

Detectives say after the robbery last week, they identified 44-year-old Jeremy D. John as a suspect. Working with multiple agencies, detectives learned that John was injured and possibly staying at the Roadway Inn on East Broadway in Spokane Valley.

Tuesday night, Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives, U.S. Marshals, and Spokane Valley Sheriff's Deputies took John into custody at the Roadway Inn for a felony DOC Escape warrant. Detectives say John had injuries to his right arm and hip and was taken to a local hospital where he remains under guard.

Detectives say they are continuing to investigate the STCU robbery, and are also looking into the possibility that John committed other recent bank robberies in the area.

Anyone with information regarding either of these robberies of Jeremy John’s activities is urged to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

We are awaiting more details and will update this story shortly.
