SPOKANE, Wash. -

Thanks to tips from the public, Spokane Police say they have arrested the woman they believed assaulted and robbed an elderly man last month in downtown Spokane.

On June 15, police say the woman asked the 75-year-old man for bus money after he had withdrawn cash from an ATM, then pushed him down and stole the cash.

After receiving tips from the public, officers zeroed in on 22-year-old Maressa A. Morris as the suspect in the robbery. Officers found Morris Wednesday at a house just south of Audubon Elementary. She was arrested without incident.

Morris has been charged with 1st Degree Robbery and 2nd Degree Assault.
