SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. -

Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies say a woman died Sunday afternoon after a crash in the area of West Medical Lake Four Lakes Road and South Granite Lake Road in West Spokane County.

When deputies arrived around 4 p.m., they found a vehicle off the side of the road. The adult female driver and only person in the vehicle had been ejected and was pronounced dead on the scene by medical personnel.

Spokane County traffic techs are continuing to investigate on the scene Sunday evening and are looking into whether the crash was connected to a report about 10 minutes earlier of a reckless driver who was driving off the road and into oncoming lanes in the area of West Medical Lake Four Lakes Road and South Craig Road.

The name of the driver has not been released.
