UPDATE:  LEAP Alert cancelled; boy and grandfather found in Kittitas CO.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE: A LEAP alert has been issued for a 2-year-old boy who had been in the car with his diabetic grandfather, who was driving from Wenatchee to Seattle.

That man, 45-year-old John Klingele, has a severe diabetic condition and was low on medication when he left Wenatchee at 9 p.m. Tuesday. He was supposed to have arrived in Seattle with the boy, 2-year-old Dean Gordon.

Gordon is described as half-Filipino, about 25 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. It's not clear exactly how tall he is.

His grandfather Klingele is white, 6'1", and 180 pounds with short cropped brown hair, a short gray beard and mustache, brown eyes, and a crooked nose.

Klingele was driving along US-2 in a 2008 cream-colored Ford Expedition with Montana plates.

The Washington State Patrol said family told officers it was typical for Klingele pull into parking lot when he has a diabetic episode.

Anyone with information or who sees the man and child is asked to call 911 immediately.

PULLMAN, Wash. - Six-year-old Denny Curran should be enjoying his last few days of summer before first grade. He should be teasing his brother, splashing in the pool, giving his parents a hard time about vegetables. Instead, Denny is dead, the victim of a horrific, freak bicycle accident that could happen to your child too. "Denny was an extraordinary child," his father Keith Curran told KHQ.

SPOKANE, Wash. - It was July of 1989. A man's beaten body was found floating near the Nine Mile dam. Years and years have passed with no leads on the case. That's because investigators do not have the most crucial piece of evidence, his name. The man was someone's son, likely a friend, a neighbor. Someone out there has to be wondering what happened to him.
