COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -

In the past couple of years, food trucks have taken off in cities around America, and in Coeur d'Alene they're not just for people on the land anymore.

The middle of Lake Coeur d'Alene is a happening spot. Locals head out to paddle board, swim, boat and now….pick up a burger.

Corey Schneider came up with the idea for a floating food truck with his brother and some buddies.

"We were all sitting on a dock, and we thought, what about a floating food truck?" Schneider said.

Schneider says working with his family and friends comes with challenges, but he loves it.

"You're building a business and doing something you love with people you love everyday," Schneider explained.

They have their regulars-but love the reaction they get from the folks that see them for the first time. He says owning a business at just 24 years old can be overwhelming sometimes, and it gets hot in this kitchen. But at the end of the day--the Lake City native says he wouldn't trade his job for anything.

"My favorite part is going out on lake Coeur d'Alene everyday," Schneider said.

You can catch "The Buoy" on Lake Coeur d'Alene when it's sunny Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Here's where you can find information about the floating restaurant: http://www.thebuoycda.com/
