BB gun vandalism spree in North Spokane frustrates neighbors

SPOKANE, Wash. -

First it was shooting at moving cars, and then it was at Jackie Ramos’ living room window.

“It’s terrifying to know that someone can work up the courage to get in an SUV and play out a drive-by,” said Ramos. “Because that’s basically what they did but with BB guns.”

Ramos lives on the corner of Francis and Cedar. Her window was shot six times Tuesday night.

“If he’s going to do stuff like this what’s stopping him from going and getting a real gun,” said Ramos. “It’s scary because I have six boys.”

Ramos says she knows who is behind the trigger, and believes it’s the same person who shot at a man who was driving north on Maple, just a couple of blocks away.

“I just want this to be the last time this happens to anybody,” said Ramos.

The Spokane Police Department says there is a neighborhood resource officer investigating, but say active crimes and crimes against people take priority so they may not know if the two crimes are connected for a while.
