COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -

A judge has ordered a mental health evaluation for an Idaho man accused of shooting a pastor.

Defendant Kyle Odom could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted on charges associated with the March shooting of Pastor Tim Remington in a Coeur d'Alene church parking lot. Remington survived and is back at work.

Odom has a history of mental illness and wrote a 30-page manifesto saying Remington was under the control of an intelligent species from Mars. Prosecutors say he flew to Washington, D.C., following the shooting and was arrested by Secret Service agents after being seen throwing flash drives and other items over the White House fence.

The Kootenai County Prosecutor's Office asked for the evaluation Wednesday to determine if Odom is competent to stand trial.

I'm more of a dog person, but if there is a place that is willing to pay me to live on an island in Greece and take care of cats, I'll become a feline fanatic.  Well, there is someone offering such a job right now and they claim it's a real opening.  God's Little People Cat Rescue posted on Facebook that they are looking for someone who can look after 55 cats on a little Greek island paradise called Syros.
