FLINT, Mich. -

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy says more people in Flint, Michigan, are taking advantage of added health care services, while some still need to know what's available as the city continues to move forward from a lead-tainted water crisis.

WJRT-TV reports that Murthy met Tuesday with community leaders and health professionals. He also visited in February.

Murthy says "since February the water has actually been improving as far as its quality," but "it doesn't mean that we're done."

He says results of a study by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in response to complaints of skin rashes will soon be released.

Flint's water was contaminated with lead when the city began using the Flint River for its supply in 2014 without adding chemicals to control pipe corrosion.
