SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

The victims in Monday morning's double homicide have been identified by the Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office.

45-year-old Daniel Kenison and 45-year-old Brenda Kolbet were gunned down in a home Monday morning near 6th and Michigan. The report released Wednesday morning says that both died from gunshot wounds.

The man detectives say is responsible for the murder, 44-year-old Gilberto Delgado, was arrested Tuesday in southern Idaho near Pocatello. According to the Idaho Department of Corrections, Delgado has a lengthy criminal history that includes Injury to a Child, Escape, Grand Theft, and Aggravated Assault. He was sentenced to prison until 2019, but was released on parole in October 2015.

Idaho State Police detectives will work with the Spokane Valley Police Department to secure search warrants for the vehicle and to extradite Delgado back to Washington to face charges.

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the murders.
