FREE winter driving class offered in Coeur d'Alene

Posted: Updated:
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department and Les Schwab Tires will be presenting a Winter Driving Class on Wednesday, November 30th, at 6:00 pm and Saturday, December 3rd, at 9:00 am.  Both classes will be held at the CDA Police Department and will last approximately an hour and a half.

Whether you are new to winter driving or just need a refresher on what to do when the roads turn icy, this class is for you.  We will talk about driving in the snow, avoiding crashes, staying safe in the event of a crash, and what to do if you become stranded.

There is no cost to attend and the first 30 people registered for each class will receive a free ice scrapper courtesy of Les Schwab Tires.  Also, an attendee from each class will be randomly selected to win an Emergency Roadside Kit (also provided by Les Schwab).

To register to attend, please email Officer Nick Knoll @ winterdriving@cdaid.org or call the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at 208-769-2319 between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

What's the first thing you would do if you had a pet translator and you could understand your dog or cat? I'd probably immediately let my cat know how sorry I am for stepping on her tail all those times. Recent advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning suggest the dream of communicating with your pets could become a reality.
