Lacey man arrested for allegedly starving sons

A man has been arrested for allegedly starving and psychologically abusing his two young sons. A man has been arrested for allegedly starving and psychologically abusing his two young sons.
LACEY, Wash. -

A man has been arrested for allegedly starving and psychologically abusing his two young sons.
    
Marc J. Litten appeared before Thurston County Superior Court Judge Erik Price on Monday, who found probable cause for two counts of second-degree assault of a child, The Olympian reported. Bail was set at $10,000.
    
Court records show that abuse allegations against Litten, 38, were first made in February. A doctor reporter that the 11-year-old son was about 18 pounds underweight and that the boy's 7-year-old brother was about 11 pounds underweight.
    
It was alleged that the children began having behavioral problems after their mother died in 2013, and that food deprivation was part of a plan to correct that. The boys are currently living with other family members.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office says a Spokane woman missing since December was found dead.  Spokane County Sheriff's Office Deputies were called to an area in the 26300 block of Appleway Ave. for a report of a deceased person. The remains, which appeared to have been subjected to the elements for an extended amount of time, were identified as 58-year-old Donna Kemp.

They're both Apache helicopter pilots stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.

(AP) - Authorities say a 96-year-old Yakima woman was killed after being struck by a motorist while she was crossing a street.    The Yakima Herald-Republic reports the woman was crossing the street at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when a 75-year-old man driving a pickup truck hit her. Lt. Shawn Boyle with the Yakima Police Department says the woman was wearing dark clothing, which made it difficult for the man to see her.
