LEWISTON, Idaho -

Dramatic footage from the dashboard cam of a Lewiston Police Officer shows a scary situation unfold in a hurry Monday night.

Lewiston Police officers were looking for 20-year-old Jesse Harrell Monday night. Harrell was wanted for felony assault and for allegedly causing $8,000 worth of damage to a slot machine at the Clearwater Casino. While watching a house during their search for Harrell, officers pulled over an unlicensed car driven by Harrell's mother, 47-year-old Angelia Barnett-Harrell, on 16th Avenue.

During the stop, Officer Tom Woods noticed the trunk of the car was open. Officer Woods asked the driver if her son was in the trunk and called for backup. Then, video shows Harrell suddenly popping out of the trunk holding was appeared to be a gun. A police report shows Harrell's mother then yelled that it was a toy gun and "Don't shoot him."

Officer Woods attempted to shut the trunk as Harrell was coming out but missed and got into a scuffle with Harrell. As Harrell was fighting with Officer Woods, another officer jumped in to help restrain him. Police say during the fight, Harrell attempted to kick, bite, spit on and punch the officers. Both officers suffered minor injuries and one of them had to receive a tetanus shot later that night.

Harrell was arrested for resisting officers, battery on officers and carrying a concealed weapon. Jail deputies also found Harrell was hiding brass knuckles during his arrest. He is in the Nez Perce County Jail on a $30,000 bond for an unrelated charge of aggravated assault.

Harrell's mother was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance and harboring a wanted person. She has been released from jail.
