Netflix now lets you download TV shows and movies so you can watch from anywhere

Posted: Updated:

KHQ.COM - Plane rides will never be the same: Netflix's latest update allows users to download several television series and movies allowing them to watch without an internet connection.

Netflix's entire library is not available for download just yet, but binge watchers can currently access many originals including, "Orange Is the New Black" and "House of Cards."

The push for offline viewing has been a long time request from the streaming giant's customers. However, the company previously stated mobile companies would "advance to the point that you'd have no disconnected moments."

While Netflix continues to change the way their users stream entertainment, they also continue to compete with rival Amazon Prime, who's video service has already offered offline viewing.

Netflix has said more downloadable shows and movies are on the way.

Netflix says all material available for download will have a white download arrow next to the title.
