East Slopes of the Cascades for 3-6" of snow in the Methow Valley, up to 8" in Sherman Pass the Okanogan. Leavenworth area 4-8" in Valleys and 10-16" in the mountains. Until 5 a.m. Tuesday

Central Idaho/N. Idaho and NE Washington - 3-6" in the Valleys and 8-14" in the mountains.

FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY -

For the Moses Lake area for up to 1/4" of ice buildup overnight Monday into Tuesday

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY - until 5 a.m. Tuesday

Spokane/CdA - 2-4" of snow by Tuesday morning along I-90/Hwy2 corridor. Light freezing rain also possible.

Palouse for Idaho/WA - 1-3" of snow

HIGH WIND WARNING -

For the Camas Prairie/Grangeville area until 11am Tuesday for gusts 55-60mph.

Monday night - Snow moves back in late Monday evening between 8pm and 11pm with more heavy snow overnight. Watches and warnings are listed above. Many areas could see several inches before transitioning to freezing rain and then rain.

Tuesday - Heavy snow expected overnight into Tuesday but a transition to rain and even some freezing rain early on. Moisture looks to end between 4-9AM Tuesday morning. Again another very windy day with wind gusts 40-50mph possible.

7 Day Forecast - Rest of the week a bit calmer. Chance for snow again Thursday but right now Christmas Eve and Christmas Day look mainly dry with isolated snow chances.

The skater fell and was hurt, but additional details about the extent of the injuries were not available. “The City of Spokane is deeply saddened by this horrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family, and we send our deepest condolences,” said Mayor David Condon in a release Saturday.
