Vandals slash dozens of tires at Spokane Valley apartment complex

Posted: Updated:
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

A rude awakening for folks living in an apartment complex in Spokane Valley leaving for work this morning.

Drivers at the Cedar Chateau Estates apartment complex were left feeling deflated.

Police say sometime overnight vandals slashed tires on dozens of cars parked at the complex near Mission and McDonald.

A witness says just before 3 o'clock Thursday morning she heard what she thought were sprinklers but when she went outside, she learned the sound she heard was actually air leaking out of tires parked throughout the complex.

She also reported seeing two teens running towards an SUV that quickly sped off.

Ronald Bullock has lived here with his wife for the last couple of years.

He too had to get new tires put on his SUV this afternoon.

He's disappointed that someone would do this to so many people.

Police say witnesses described the vandals as two teens wearing black and red pajama pants, sandals and dark hooded sweatshirts.

They left in a dark colored SUV.

Spokane Valley police are asking anyone who may have had their tires slashed or have any information who may have been behind it to call Crime Check at 456 2233.
