Woman hurt in Moses Lake shooting

Grant County deputies are investigating after a Sunday night shooting which left a woman with minor injuries.

911 operators received several calls around 11 p.m. for gunshots being fired from a white SUV -- either a Mercedes or Lexus -- while it was possibly chasing another car in the Larson Housing area. The victim called from the 9000 block of Forrestal Lane saying she was shot.

Deputies learned from the victim that she was driving the car being chased by the white SUV. The victim suffered a grazing injury to her scalp. She was treated by medics and released. Deputies and Moses Lake police are looking into reports that the shooting may have begun within the city.
