Hunting season is here: Arby's releases venison and elk sandwiches

Fast food chain Arby's is living up to its "we have the meats" slogan with its nationwide debut of the venison sandwich. 

On October 21, USA Today says the sandwich will be featured in 3,300 restaurants and features thick-cut venison steak with crispy onions and a berry sauce on a toasted roll. It will only be available while supplies last.

Arby's will also begin selling a limited-edition elk sandwich in three restaurants in the states of Montana, Colorado and Wyoming. 

The elk sandwich will be available along with the venison sandwich at the following restaurants:

  • 200 East 144th Ave.,  Thornton, Colorado 80023
  • 2607 CY Ave., Casper, Wyoming 82604
  • 2834 King Ave. W, Billings, Montana 59102

    A 5-month-old infant found at a Seattle homeless encampment is in protective custody as police investigate child neglect. Seattle Police said Thursday on its blog that the child was removed in late May from an unsanctioned homeless encampment where people were reportedly using methamphetamine.

    DODSON, Mont. - Two people were injured in Montana Wednesday morning after swerving to avoid a kangaroo on the road.  Trooper Matt Finley with the Montana Highway Patrol said he thought it was a joke when he responded to the call, but when he arrived at about 4 a.m. he saw the kangaroo.  Trooper Finley said he learned there is a kangaroo farm west of Dodson.
