REDFORD, Mich. -

A man wanted for by police in Redford Township, Michigan, for warrants and tagging school property challenged the department on social media, saying if their post about him gets 1,000 shares on Facebook  he'd turn himself in, and bring a dozen donuts to boot. Ten days after issuing the challenge, the man made good on his promise complete with the donuts.

As you can see, the original post more than doubled its goal. In fact, they cracked 1,000 shares just one hour after posting the challenge on their Facebook page.

On Monday, Redford Township Police Department posted an update, saying the man walked into the station around 6:30 p.m. with donuts, and one bagel!

"Michael Zaydel made good on his promise to turn himself in to RTPD for his outstanding warrants. He walked in on his own, and not only did he bring the donuts, he brought one bagel! We would again like to express our gratitude for the support of all who followed this, shared it, and left us positive feedback," the post reads.

Police said Zaydel was expected to make his first court appearance Tuesday morning.
