Protestor gets within feet of President Trump by posing as journalist

Posted: Updated:

KHQ.COM - A protestor, apparently posing as a journalist, was able to get within feet of President Trump as he walked through the Capitol today. The screaming man lobbed several small Russian flags at the President.

The incident took place as Mr. Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell were walking down a Capitol chamber into a Senate Republican Lunch. The man, who was standing next to reporters, tossed the flags and screamed repeatedly "trump is treason."

The president didn't appear to flinch during the incident. President Trump didn't appear to be in immediate danger, but allowing the protester in an area reserved for credentialed journalists appears to be a security breach.

The White House and the Secret Service didn't immediately respond to questions about the incident. The man identified himself as part of group called "Americans Take Action" which has a website claiming to be a "Network of Populists."
