Driver arrested on vehicular homicide charge after fatal collision with motorcycle in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

Washington State Patrol arrested one person Thursday morning after a fatal crash between an SUV and a motorcycle in Spokane Valley. 

The collision happened at the intersection of Grace and Pines, just north of I-90. Troopers tell KHQ crews on scene that the SUV was trying to cross Pines from Grace and the motorcycle hit the side of the SUV. The motorcycle rider died as a result of their injuries. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released as Troopers are working to notify next of kin. 

The driver of the SUV, also unidentified at this time, has been arrested on a charge of vehicular homicide. Troopers believe the driver was impaired at the time of the crash. 

The intersection will remain closed while investigators process the scene.

The companies released a statement Thursday saying CJ CheilJedang will pay $1.8 billion for an 80 percent stake in Schwan's and gain control of its businesses that serve restaurants, grocery stores and other retailers.

    It looks like it will cost just a little less to get Thanksgiving dinner on the table this year. The American Farm Bureau Federation's released their annual survey of classic items found on the thanksgiving dinner table and found that the average cost of this year's feast for 10 is $48.90. That comes out to less than 5 bucks a person.
