'Daycare bandit' posts flashy pictures to Facebook

SPOKANE, Wash. -

Delvin Mills and his reported accomplice Jordanne Gibson had quite a criminal plan going "these suspects they were basically going to different daycares. they would rent a car fly into our area here in post falls," said Detective Uhrig with the Post Falls Police Department.

The daycare bandits would wait until parents went inside to drop their kids off and then strike when no one was looking. Targeting both locked and unlocked cars "These cases are really hard to solve because we are dealing with folks that specifically travel into an area to commit an act of crime using rental vehicles, and then they flee the area," said Detective Uhrig.

But Mill's made things easier. Posting photos of himself on his public Facebook page standing with wads of cash on top of the rental car police say he used in these prowlings. Post falls Detective Neil Uhring says the Mills and Gibson hit at least three daycares in less than an hour.  But they made a big mistake when they stole a cell phone from one of the cars at the daycare  "so the victim would log into their Apple account and were able to see a GPS location of where that phone was."

Using the "find my phone" app post falls police were able to give WSP troopers a play by play on where the two were going And thanks to security cameras they got a description of the vehicle. Troopers eventually caught up with the two at this car wash in Spokane Valley, and Post Falls police say they won't be getting off easy "This type of crime has serious ramifications, and it's our intent when our investigation is to charge them with every crime  they committed."
