SPOKANE, Wash. -

"He's the hero Spokane deserves, but not the one it needs right now."

A Spokane Police Officer went from school to school Tuesday morning dressed up as Batman and saying hello to students.

He even made his patrol car into the Batmobile!

KHQ found the Batmobile and Batman himself. It turns, he’s Spokane Police Officer Scott Hice. He’s the neighborhood resource officer for Hillyard.

But this idea came to Hice from his son.

“My kid loves Batman. I love Batman and everybody loves Batman. I kind of came up with the idea a couple years ago to make a Batmobile and this year I thought I want to make a Batmobile out of a police car. That would be sweet,” he says.

Then, it became a reality. As he was driving around from school to school, you could tell how happy he made all the students.

“The kids come out take pictures with me,” he says. “And the older kids, I'll throw in the Batman voice and stuff like that. Everybody gets a kick out of it.”

So as you go out on Halloween, “don’t do anything Batman wouldn't do,” he says.
