PASCO, Wash. -

Pasco Police say a 47-year-old man is dead after driving his pickup truck through a brick wall, and into a home.

The cause of the crash is unknown, but one possibility being investigated is that he may have suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel.

The only person home at the time was a 16-year-old, who was upstairs in an unaffected section of the home and was unhurt.

Officers say it appears that the man was driving his pickup northbound on Convention near the Fairchild Cinemas when the pickup angled off NW through a field, gaining speed and traveling in a straight line. It crossed Sandifur going up and down the shoulder embankments, narrowly missing two vehicles on the roadway, continued straight through a 6’-tall brick wall, across a backyard, into the back wall of a two-story house, through the master bedroom, and came to a stop with most of the pickup projecting out the exterior wall on the opposite side of the house.

A section of a wooden fence on the far house of the house was removed to facilitate pulling the pickup all the way out through the second exterior wall, since that was much simpler that trying to yank it back the other way all the way through the house.

Code Enforcement has declared the house unsafe for human habitation at this point.

Roadways in the area have been reopened.

His brokenhearted family reached out to KHQ's Hayley Guenthner with a letter asking for his case to be featured in our Q6 Cold Case series. The day Paul vanished started out so wonderful. "It was a happy day," said Paul's aunt Georgine Glatt.
