Firefighters rescue New Jersey woman stuck inside septic tank for 3 hours

MULLICA TOWNSHIP, New Jersey -

A woman found herself stuck underground for three hours after falling into a septic tank behind a home in Mullica Township, New Jersey.

It's unknown how the woman fell into the tank, but firefighters were called in from 30 miles away to assist in her prolonged rescue. Crews used a ladder truck to lift her from the tank on a backboard.

According to NBC Philadelphia, the 57-year-old woman fell about 10 feet into the sewage tank, and was injured in the fall. The severity of her injuries are not known at this time, but authorities say she was flown to an area hospital by medical hospital.

Officials didn't say how old the boy was or how he was related to Nichols or Sanders.
