SPOKANE, Wash. -

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is less than a week away and as 51 million Americans get ready to travel during Thanksgiving. WSP is making sure you get to your destination safely "We'll have extra troopers out mainly focusing on State Route 26 and also state route 195 with also emphasis on interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass," said Trooper Jeff Sevigney.

Troopers will be looking paying close attention for distracted drivers, and impaired drivers. They will also be looking for speeders "we want folks to be mindful of their speed," said Sevigney.

AAA says the worst time to hit the road this year will be Tuesday between 3:45 pm and 5:30 p.m. But with the mountain snow, the pass and road conditions can change quickly.  Trooper Sevigney suggests to having an extra blanket, extra bottles of water, granola bars, and food just in case you get stuck on a pass or stopped on the freeway for a long time  "The bottom line is just be prepared, and that starts off with knowing what the road and weather conditions are going to be like when you're traveling," Sevigney added.

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - It's been nearly two years since anyone has seen or heard from Paul Brazeau. He was last seen at his son's wedding. His brokenhearted family reached out to KHQ's Hayley Guenthner with a letter asking for his case to be featured in our Q6 Cold Case series. The day Paul vanished started out so wonderful. "It was a happy day," said Paul's aunt Georgine Glatt.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Multiple fire crews from Spokane County and the Department of Natural Resources are working to mop up a series of fires that broke out along Interstate 90 west of Spokane. Crews on scene tell us that while they don't have an exact count, there were at least 3 different fires burning, all about 5-acres in size, along I-90 between exit 272 and 277.
