VIDEO: Canadians turn delayed flight into party

Posted: Updated:
Toronto -

As you may know by now, Wednesday is the busiest travel day of the year. According to Flight Aware's live tally, as of Wednesday afternoon there were more than 11,000 delays and nearly 500 cancellations. Dealing with those delays can be a pain, but perhaps everyone could take a cue from our neighbors to the north.

Michelle Sacrey Philpott posted several videos Monday of an impromptu jam session complete with guitar, banjo, dancing and singing. She was heading home to Newfoundland. When the flight was delayed, musicians Sean Sullivan and Sheldon Thornhill busted out their instruments. The crowd at the gate at Toronto International Airport took care of the rest.

Sure, traveling home for the holidays can be a nightmare, but as these videos show, it doesn't always have to be.
