Huntington, WEST VIRGINIA -

NBC - A restaurant employee lent a hand, or rather a shoulder, to a Virginia Police chase and it was all caught on camera.

The commotion from the foot chase caught the attention of a restaurant employee by the name of Hal Greer, and a few others standing in the parking lot.

Restaurant surveillance video shows the suspect, still handcuffed, running towards Greer.

Greer patiently waited for the precise moment to step in the suspect's path, using his shoulder, he laid the suspect down to the ground.

Thankful police were just seconds behind the escapee.

Greer told law enforcement that you never know what's going to happen in the neighborhood, so he says he stays on guard.

The suspect was arrested and charged with having drug paraphernalia.
